Mission 22: The Veteran's Legacy - Application & Career

Final Mission Briefing: The Admiral's Request

The crisis is over. Your work restoring the fleet's interfaces has not gone unnoticed. As your final mission, you've been personally tasked by the Admiral to lead the complete redesign of the bridge interface for the fleet's flagship, the Olympus Mons. It must be a testament to the new era of stability and advanced design you helped create.

Project Directives (A Multi-Part Challenge)

This capstone project combines every skill you've learned to build a complete, professional-grade interface from the ground up.

  • Layout: Use a combination of CSS Grid for the overall bridge layout (nav, main viewscreen, side panels) and Flexbox for aligning items within those panels.
  • Responsiveness: Use Media Queries to ensure the design is flawless on the main 27-inch bridge monitor, a captain's 12-inch datapad, and an engineer's 7-inch handheld device.
  • Interactivity: Add Transitions to all buttons and interactive elements. Use Animations to create a subtle pulsing effect on the "Online" status indicators.
  • Precision: Use Transforms to slightly tilt the side panels for a more ergonomic, futuristic feel.
  • Performance & Accessibility: Ensure all animations are performant by promoting layers with will-change, and that all interactive elements are fully accessible with ARIA attributes.
Mission Complete: Congratulations, Lead Systems Architect!

Upon successful completion of this project, you will have demonstrated full mastery of the CSS protocol. Your work on Project Chimera has saved countless lives and restored order to the quadrant. Your promotion to Lead Systems Architect is well-deserved.

Your journey as a Void Technician is complete, but your career as an architect has just begun. Continue to build, innovate, and shape the digital frontier.
